Part of our commitment to youth health, wellbeing and development is providing information and inspiration for our local youth, find that here. We offer supportive services as well as links to other helpful organisations and inspirational and informative videos to enrich and inspire our youth to feel empowered in themselves.

Youth Clinics with Whanake Youth

Free for 13 to 24 year olds

Thursdays between 3:30pm - 5:00pm

(At Whanake Youth, Stoke)

Mobile Youth Clinic

  • Youth Nelson on Tuesday and Thursday's between 9:30-12:30 weekly

  • Nelson Young Parents School (Auckland Point School) Wednesday 9:30-1:30

  • OnTrac Waimea College on Thursdays 9-12pm

  • Alternative Education at Motueka High School on every Wednesday 9-12pm

  • NTC (Nelson Training Centre) on alternate Monday's 9-12

  • Motueka High School Tues-Thurs 9-2.30

  • Nayland College Tues-Thurs 9-2.30

Youth Health Schedule

Age 11: Tetanus booster

Age 12 - 27: HPV vaccine (School/GP/INP Medical Clinic)

Up to 13: Free GP/Practice Nurse appointments + Come in for HEeADSS Assessment

Up to 16: Free vision test with Specsavers

Up to 17: Free appointments for mental health concerns at CAMHS (Accessed through GP)

Up to 18: Free oral healthcare (dentist) - ask us about Wicked Tooth Fairy

From 18: Free hearing tests with Bay Audiology

From 20: Cervical smears: first smear at 20 years, second smear 1 year later, 3 yearly after that

Up to 22: Free appointments at INP Medical Clinic (sexual & reproductive health)

Any Age: 
Mental Health: Primary Mental Health Initiative: May be up to 4 sessions. Accessed through GP

Sexual Health Clinic: Free appointments for STI checks & treatments

Emergency Contraceptive Pill (ECP): Is available from pharmacies free of charge
