Pink Shirt Day/Week...

starting Monday!

Pink Shirt Day is held on Friday 16 October!

Its is celebrated annually around the globe and began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying, after a peer was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. In Aotearoa, Pink Shirt Day works to create schools, workplaces, communities and whānau where everyone feels safe, valued and respected.

This October people across Aotearoa will come together to take action against bullying and fundraise to support the kaupapa.

This week at WHANAKE HQ, we will be celebrating diversity, prizes to give away and generally have a great PINK WEEK! Come along and bring a friend, love to see you!
