Lee-ann is co-founder of Whanake Youth and loves to dream big! She loves being a youth worker, nurse and camp leader with Whanake Youth. This is her 6th year leading Whanake Youth. Camping, walking her dogs, watching Shortland St and going to church is what makes Lee-ann happy.
Paul is the Chairperson of the Board. he's super skilled in facilitating and helping the team put dreams into plans and ensures the Board and Staff are fab! IN his spare time he and his wife hang out with their 2 kids and whanau.
Shane, the king of Dad jokes has been on the Board for 2 years. He is our treasurer and supports Whanake Youth with being wise with money as well as working strategically. Shane loves the outdoors, especially deep sea diving, camping in their caravan with his wife and sausage dog.
This is Maree's 3rd year on the Board. She is also the Manager of Youth Nelson for over 20 years! and is super keen to make a difference in the lives of rangatahi with their whanau.
Maree spends time walking her 2 dogs, travelling to catch up with whanau and getting her garden under control.
This is Jenny's first year on the Board with Whanake Youth. Jenny is the Principal/Tumuaki of Maitai School. She has heaps experience which is broad and deep, having worked in many education settings around the country. Jenny is a strong advocate for all rangatahi.
Char has been on the Board for almost a year. She is massively busy working with rangatahi at Whakatu Marae, learning to be fluent in Te Reo, training to be a social worker as well as being and awesome mum and wife. Char also loves competing at Waka Comps!
